The secret about talent on the piano

Do you want to know what this secret is?

Talent doesn’t exist.

Yep. Clear and simple. Well, at least, that’s what I believe!

“But what about this guy or this other one who plays so well?”

Work.

Hard and dedicated work for years.

OK, I admit that there are a few exceptions like those prodigy kids playing amazingly well at 4 or 5 years old.

I don’t know why they are able to do this and it seems that there is something special about their brains. Different wiring probably.

But these are very very rare individuals. Like one or two per generation.

I am talking about excellent professional musicians who are “regular” humans (if that means anything).

They don’t have any talent. They were only very consistent, probably due to a particular environment, their curiosity, or passion.

The thing is that we don’t see the decades of daily hours of practice behind. We only see the awesome result of all this work and sacrifices.

And we compare ourselves to them. Or even worse, others compare us to them and state: “ you have no talent” or “you have no music in you”.

Complete B.S.!

With the right method, you will be able to play the song you love and even create your own music. I don’t guarantee a Grammy Award, but to have some fun at least. That’s already not too bad, right?

Talking about methods, you may be wondering how to achieve this result.

It seems like I am talking about some sort of magic pill.

No, nothing mysterious there and you will learn more about it in a minute.

But I want you to discover first a hidden truth behind piano lessons.
